Hey All,
Just here to see whats up in the bike world.:) From Geelong, Australia
Started riding on a ZZR250 then moved to a Suzuki RF600 for a couple of years, loved the bike but wanted more berries so moved up to the RF900. Only had it for about 6 months traveled 16,000 kms in that time, did a few ride days and got to ride a GSX-R750T, bad move cause I traded the RF for one. Had the GSXR for 12 months then decided to try my hand on a BMW GS..... Short lived short legs! Sold it back to the guy I bought it from but it was in better nick when he got it back. Then went to a GSX750F, after owning the RF900 was still wishing I'd never sold it. Had a test ride on a TL1000s, real bad move.... broke it along with a few bones of my own (bike was recalled world wide not long after to hide the fault!) While still on crutches hopped in to the bike shop to pay for a GSX-R600 great bike but got over riding for the time being. So after about 6 years and three kids, finally got to swing my leg over yet another RF900, this one was the Manta Ray got it cheap with 80,000kms on the clock. Had it for 18 months then a friend was selling his bike HAH! another RF900............... predictable I know but I love em. Great bang for your buck.
The Manta Ray had done 106,000kms by the time I sold it and was getting a bit sad, I couldn't refuse the current RF9 it only had 18,000Kms on the clock and is mint, very well looked after and what else do you buy for $7000?
Planning to do the Boarder rally at Eucla WA in August with a few mates, 4000KM return trip from Geelong. Looking forward to it, wish it was tomorrow.
Anyway cheers
