Alright, now repeat the subject of this thread...over....and over...and over....and over.

I've been wrangling with this for a couple days now and just can't get it out of my bike. Large crackles when running (with flames out the exhaust of course) are really beginning to scare my new neighbors and frighten the woodline creatures around my house. The old girl also stalls unless you keep the throttle open a little at the stoplights (only happened once on my 3 mile trek from my in-laws to my house). It's almost like it's choking for fuel, but at the same time it's got some laying in there that it's exploding. Unfortunately, the bike sat (really sat) for two weeks...and now this is happening. I've had this problem before, and of course the 'ol HammerHead fixed it, but never mentioned what he did. Now, he's gone for a while....so I have to tackle it myself damnit.

Any ideas boys and girls? I'll be wrenching on the bike tomorrow (oil, filter, air filter, touch up of the engine, and anything else I can find) so it's probably a good time to get into something if I can.

new oil and filter, new plugs....fresh gas, finally put that new petcock on/in, some fine tunings to the fuel/air mixture and idle....and a nice cleaning.

Now, gonna clean up that engine and ride ride ride.

Mongo check your ignition timing against the manual, it sounds like your advance is out of spec, (flames out the pipe!)

Otherwise ride it like you stole it!
