Since this is a pay site I won't be joining. I looked at their Rides & Events and didn't find anything different than I can find on a rides & events page I regularly go to for free. I was unable to access the Biker Friendly establishments. There are also BF friendly web sites out there. Good luck with your site!

Leon, I agree if....

all you are looking for is forums, rides, and events information. This site is geared more towards biker dating and friendship. the rest is gravytrain or not, depending on what you want.

One must keep in mind also: this is a new site... started in Jan. and Spider is tweeking and adding to it daily. There is another site that bills it's self as "the largest biker dating site in the world." they charge 10.00 a month for a web site that has only instant messenger, message board, forums, and forwarding email. To top it all off, they "moderate" your posts... so they may not get posted for days...in fact a week has gone by without a single new posting. Once it does get posted, you may find that they have "moderated" it to half of what your post was, and it now makes no sense at all. I really don't understand why they feel they need to edit what we write, for the most part we are adults and can behave ourselves in that manner. It's a real pain in the tush.

I like the dating sites because I travel... a lot. I meet new people on line, and while I am in their area I stop for a visit and we ride THEIR favorite roads, the ones only the locals know about. If that isn't worth 10.00 bucks a year then I don't know what is.

So Leon, and others... it all depends on what your looking for... is Spider's new web site worth the bucks? For me it has already paid off handsomely.

Hey chesshirecat! Spider has done a great job with the site, and I only see it getting better! I visit allot of sites on a daily basis, and there are only a few that I enjoy the visit. Bikerforums and BikeAmericaOnline are a couple of the good ones, with good people, and great topics. ;)

In Agreement...

I also visit bikernet.com. It's a great place to get info from... great tech reseach, and ya get to watch Bandit and others build their bikes from the frame up. Good biker fiction, as well as non fiction. Check out the site Frankie... I know you'll love it.

Leon, Sorry its taken me so long to reply to your post as I have been so busy working on my site. The largest misconception of the site is that it's a Forum, Events calendar, Dating Site or any other kind of Biker Site or Community out there. What it is, a fully integrated Biker Community. By this I mean you want to sell a bike or parts you push a button, want a biker web site of your own (without a bunch of free web hosting pop-ups that give you every template for a dog or cat site) you push a button. You have a email account, A forum, state of the art chat/private chat and Instant messaging, and the chance to meet its members, for dating, or just riding buddies. Along with events, Biker Friendly lists, Galleries & more. The nice part of it is there is no paid advertising on the site so your not waiting for pop-ups to be blocked, or slide-ins that can't be blocked. Just Bikers for Bikers with out all the garbage. What I would invite you to do is take the new tour of the site just added today so refresh your browser & also click on more info from the home page & really see what's there. Then join for 3 days free with your paypal account & go in and look. Your account at paypal is not billed until the 4th day and then I would like to hear what you have to say. Yup your right it's 14.95 a year that's 1.25 month, but you get what you pay for and ALLOT MORE. Hope to see you take another look.
