2003 Indians Baby
Torrance, California, September 27, 2002 -- Named for the noble savages who inhabit the Asian subcontinent, Indian is now sort of we suppose, officially resurrected, as it now has its own engine, which must count for something. The 100-cubic-inch (1638cc) 45-degree Powerplus twin was introduced amid much hoopla back in January; now it's found a home in Indian's flagship Chief line -- four distinctive bikes which share a common floorplan.

Sorry to see Indian go. It looked like they were progressing well. Some direct competion for Harley would have been a good thing.
