Nothing really to rant about this week....but I do have a funny little story.

So I've been doing some mods on my bike, a little here...a little there.....smaller projects have turned into bigger ones.

I have a battery tender hooked with in line connectors for easy access/charging. Well the connectors aren't the prettiest and aren't the easiest to use, so I've been searching around for something better. In the meantime, since I have my seat off, I have rewired the battery tender connectors (for lack of a better term). I'm trying to wrap up all my little projects and the other night finally put the seat back on with the wires out on both sides of the bike (positive on my left and negative on my right). I'm not done, but I figure since it's about 10pm I should probably shut done operations for the night...since I have to get up at 3:30am. Gotta wheel the bike back a little, jump on...stand up and both my legs make connection with the wires on both sides. Coincidentally, they both also hit the oil tank at the same time and I was only spared to only a small shock since the oil tank was the path of least resistance.

I did however come away with one hell of a light show, burned legs, the itching suspicion that I might be infertile now, and a little more common sense about when to tape up wires.

The battery still works, I have some marks on my oil tank (damnit), and I have put the new connectors on to avoid any more incidents. They guys/gals I ride with that it was pretty funny, and now that I'm not dead...or seriously hurt...guess I can agree.

In other news: If anybody wants a reason for a road trip to philly to meet up, there's going to be a nice party this Saturday April 6th. If you're interested, lemme know.....it's a traditional philly 'beef and beer' thrown by the Northeast Riders MC (great bunch). $18 at the door, and you get all you can eat (beef) and all you can drink (beer) with that donation.
