Time to ride again

Well, looks like it's time to start riding again around here. I put 100 miles on the girl this past weekend, and I gotta tell ya, it was freakin AWESOME. Man did I miss that feeling. Even the bath she got after the ride was fun. Never thought I'd miss polishing all that chrome, but I ate it up!! We live near a busy road, and all you heard all weekend was bikes going by. I hope this is here to stay and not a teaser. Anyone else get some seat time in????

yo dude, for sure! I'm on my third day of riding in a row, and two weekends in a row too. I even rode to work today for the first time this year. My Suzuki looks like crap (sand and salt) and the Road King's not much better, but like you said, it feels good to be riding. I was still out riding the kinger last night at 11 and it was warm (50 something). I hear it's gunna drop back into the 40's tomorrow. :-(

I hope the temps stay up. I hear they'll dip tomorrow too, but they'll be back up for the weekend. Too bad the only 'saddle' time I got this past weekend was at work in my office 'saddle'. Oh well it's warming up...so spend as much time as you can outside.

WooHoo!, man you better give them kiddies a bath soon. Don't want that road salt on the metal for sure. That's awesome you've been riding. I should have ridden to work yesterday, but hindsight ya know. We are looking at a cool down and rain coming for the rest of the week. I'll bask in the memories of my weekend ride for now.

Mongo man, don't fret, you'll be on a scoot soon. Borrow that buddies fatboy for a quick spin, scratch the itch.

Living in the south has it's advantages...but I really relate to "Scratchin the itch"! Durning bike week my '86 was returned to me from up north...man was it good to be back in the saddle of the 'ole man! He's got a lot of miles on him, but he's got a lot left. I was even contemplating keepin him! But I do know that I would love to take and extended trip and just can't convince myself that by keepin him that he would last. Trouble is...if I put a rebuild on him, I would loose mega bucks (Not that I won't now) but at least the next owner won't be out as much when the time comes. Oh well...hopefully I'll get a buyer soon and the debate will be over!

Ya'll enjoy the warmer weather and hopefully we'll hook-up this summer some place :D

I was in St. Louis for the weekend and saw alot of bikes out on Saturday and Sunday. Got home Sunday, had supper and went for a ride around town. Monday rode to the bowling alley and back. Tuesday rode to a meeting at night. Sure is good to ride but I'm sure we're in for some more inclement weather here in Southern Ontario before the real riding season starts.

Isn't it wonderful????????

Been out riding in this lovely weather we had in ND. Took the boyfriends new ride out, took the kids out for a spin. Sure did miss that wind in the hair feeling, the rumble of the pipes, the power between my legs...............ok, so I don't miss the sand and crap on the roads. Let me tell you how much.....all it takes is a little sand and down a person goes. Saturday went down, now have a little road rash on the face. Just wish I was on the front of the bike. Wishful thinking could have happened to me too. Being ND we don't have a helmet law, I choose not to wear one. Not much damage to the bike, drag bars little bit, thank goodness we were just leaving from an intersection. Do wish the four wheeled people would kick it in gear and start seeing the bikes. Kinda funny cause we were leaving from a bike show.

Anyway, enjoy the riding and have a wonderful week!!!

Sorry to hear about the lay down, glad everyone came out ok. I have friends that have broken legs and arms at about 2 MPH when they hit the sand. Dangerous stuff, but thankfully they have had the street cleaners out in force lately cleaning it up for us. Rain due in too, that will help out!! Got your PM about Milwaukee, can't wait for the party. Hope you and WORK and our gang can hook up!!!

Sorry to hear bout the road rash...not fun...but part of the game...unfortunately!

The reality of motorcycling is...that ya have to ride as if you ARE invisable! People just don't see the bikes! There could be hundreds of 'em about...and yet, we are invisable to the cagers. I don't know what has to be done, but, I wish it were part of the drivers education to have to take the motorcycle course as well...oh well...not a perfect world...is it?
