Valentine's day, How u going to spoil yr partner?

Well it's only a few days 'till St. Valentines day, I've got my man a card, some chocolate and some heart shaped ginger bread 'wiv lovely strawberry pink fizz on top. Oh, and some Cinnamon flavour body oil that heats up on touch,,,mmmm... :D :p

So, come on, spill the beans, what ya doing, or got for your other halfs?

WooHoo! 02-11-2005 07:52 AM

got no other half :-(

PHAT-BOY 02-11-2005 08:07 AM

I got her a movie and a cd. I have the greatest wife ever, she doesn't wear jewelry and thinks flowers are a waste of money! Man am I lucky.

Mongo 02-11-2005 08:08 AM

For Valentines day I'll be in sunny Florida....so Mrs. Mongo will have to wait until I come home to get her gifts. She is around these forums....so they have to stay secret.

PHAT-BOY 02-11-2005 08:11 AM

The Mrs. is a Bikerforums lurker? Geesh man, I better watch what I say about you then, and our trip to Milwaukee, and that gal..... Oh, nevermind!

Valentines Day...Bah!

Damn Phat Boy, you are lucky! ;) If I sold my wife's jewelry, I could almost buy another bike. She loves that crap. Big waste of $$ if you ask me. But she thinks the same way about bikes, so there you have it. Junkyard's Valentines day = flowers, a mushy card, leave the kids home and go out to dinner. I have a real bah humbug approach to this holiday. I think it's main purpose is to spend lots of cash to impress the girl you're dating. I've been married (and faithfull) to the same woman for 17 1/2 years. If that don't say I love her, flowers and chocolate sure as hell won't! One of my buddies gave me the best quote. All you anti-Valentines day types like me can feel free to use it. (and there is actually a lot of truth in it) Look into her eyes and say "Honey, I don't believe I have to show you I love you on one day out of the year. I love you each and every day" Works like a charm! :p

Bought her the two Vera Bradley bags on e-bay she wanted. Probably take her out to dinner too.

Nothing too exciting, but as long as she's happy.... ;)

Did the $50 a pound coffee she likes at Christmas. Vicky's Secret gift card last Valentines Day. Prob gonna do a card, resturant, stuffed animal routine Monday unlees a brainstorm hits me.

Think I'd settle for a teddy with a hole in the crotch.

DILLIGAF 02-12-2005 12:46 PM

I am about 6,000 miles away from my Valentine so I am having flowers, candy, and a personalized stuffed animal sent via 1800flower.com. I will be home for a month in a couple of weeks. I will be wining and dinning often along with going to Vegas for a week. That should make up for me not being there for Valentines, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. On second thought no I wont, but it will still be fun. Be Safe and Take Care.

Valentines Day??

I can't ever think of a time when somebody got me something more than a card. That maybe because I'm not exactly the sentimental fool type. I get embarressed at the thought of it.

And I can't ever remember getting any sweetie of mine anything but a card for the day... all that fuss is more than I can stand for just another day in my book. If you love me... then give me the small things in life on a daily basis that say just that... I always will do the same for you... It's just in my genetic makeup I guess.
Valintines Day??? I would rather see in your eyes everyday how much my being there means to you... it lasts longer.

So how did it go then?

I'm a Happy Bunny, my man got me Roses and a heart necklace!
The cinnamon massage oil worked ;)

Come on you men, you say you don't need a special day to proove your love, but when was the last time you brought your Wife, girlfiend Lover flowers out of the blue for no reason? :p

Good on ya you men out there that spoil your Woman on valentines, you know we love it!! :D

Out of curisity, is Valentines a public holiday in the US?

PHAT-BOY 02-14-2005 09:08 AM

If by Holiday you mean we get the day off, hell no. Not a bad idea though. :D

I can honestly say I have never bought my wife flowers and the only piece of jewelry she has is the wedding ring (with no diamond). She's not into that. For Valentines she got a Kitchen Aid Mixer, a DVD and a CD. The mixer covers Easter too! Them friggin things are expensive.

Natural 02-14-2005 01:57 PM

I got sick with a cold and swapped up at the last minute. Got the Ms. tickets to see Montgomery Gentry and Trace Atkins tickets. Got clothes in exchange... not like I didn't need them after losing 40 lbs. I'm happy!

Natural 02-14-2005 02:01 PM

FYI... Valentines Day is a public holiday in the U.S. Tiger, just not a paid one.

HeavyDuty 02-14-2005 02:27 PM

My ol' lady doesn't want jewelry but I did get her a card and she will get the rest of her presents when she comes up for Easter. Right now we are about 2000 mi. from each other but she knows how much I care when we talk on the phone.
She would much rather get tools or goodies for her iron head sporty.
