Apologies from newbie

If I pissed off anyone for posting "parting out RD350" in the motorcycle parts forum without introducing myself, then my apologies. I deleted the post. I'm a 50 year old Harley mechanic from S.C. Worked in a H-D dealership for 24 years till it closed and now own a Harley restoration shop. Just finished a resto on a 52 FL and am now starting one on a 40 WLD.

It's all good man, just understand we get a ton of people that sign up, advertise, and never come back. We strive to keep a close community of bikers, and really like to see people stick around for a while. We hope you stick it out. With your knowledge of bikes and working at a dealer for 20 odd years, we could really use your insight.

Thank you for understanding, and taking the time to intro.

right on man. can you post some pics of your restos? we'd like to see 'em. Welcome.

Welcome aboard. I too am interested in seeing your work. I have a 45 flathead motor but don't have the mechanical ability to turn it into a bike. I envy your expertise.

Harrigancan, I see your from Canada. Is your 45 engine a WLC by any chance?

Motorhead....I also apologize for slamming your ass right off the bat. It's just that we get tired of people joining just to sell stuff. We are looking for members that will contribute to our site, not just use it for their benefit.

I appreciate your post, and welcome you to our forums. Your knowledge, and experience are more than welcome....

Thanks....

No problem. I'll send some photos over the weekend.

WELCOME. I have been a member since july 04, a lot of honest opinions here. Looking froward to seeing your work. When you get some time look around. I ride a 04 wide glide, my first bike, been riding since may, wish had started years ago. I ride as much as I can. DARRELL

Motorhead: I'm not sure if its a WLC or not. I inherited it and all I know is originally it was supposedly in a three wheel police trike. I tried checking the numbers on the internet and if I interpreted them correctly it is a 1958 model.

motorhead1 12-14-2004 08:32 AM

Then the engine number should be 58G XXXX. W denotes a two wheeler which was discontinued in 1952 and replaced by the K model flathead. The G says it is indeed a trike engine. If you can find a two wheel frame the engine will fit perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I'll have to dig the motor out from under my bench and check the numbers. I wrote them down once but who nows where they are now.
