Hiya folks

Just a short note - typin one handed is tiring! Moniker's a pun...currently "bike-less".

Recuperating after a low speed crash on a decreasing radius curve complicated by a tailgater, found this place browsing. Literal face plant --saw pavement comin at my face, watched faceshield crack, helmet a beauty if you like forehead-to-chin scrapes. Me: radius in 7 pieces, plated last week, otherwise just bruised up. Bike: not sure yet. Ins company towed to distant parts-out company yard sight unseen, wants to total out. We're still talkin cuz there's no evidence of serious damage (frame, fork, engine, tank) in pics I've seen so far.

Bike's a BMW K75 modded for short stuff inseam rider. If she's really totaled, will be lookin for another K75. Would like suggestions on similar bikes to look at -- ie same riding posture freeway capable models. (Old back injuries keep me off bikes that take crotch rocket crouching or straight up and lean back sitting).

Those of you with people at home, remember to tell 'em how much you appreciate them. Living alone after a partial incap accident sure brings home the advantages of not having to figure out how to do daily things yourself. (How do you open a jar one-armed? Go outside to the ATT truck and ask the guy working. Share a laugh when he realizes why you're asking. :D )

You poor thing! OMG - take care of yourself - and that's more than enough typing - thanks. Welcome to the forum. It's very friendly and personal here, unlike some forums. Post a pic or two when y9ou get a chance, and for god's sake, take care girl!

wish I could help on a bike recommendation, but I ride Harley's (lean back style riding) works good for my old back

(heya paint! lots of harley riders around here. including some hell's angels now and then, one of whom told me cool to help out anyone who rides during a conversation about locating people who knew german bike wrenching. :cool: )

arm re-cast after med appt. good fingers motion, not much thumb yet. "frozen" wrist gave odd ca-lunking noise few hours after re-casting as doing finger exercises, now moves a bit in various directions. hidey ho, we're on the mend!

Sorry to hear about your spill. Glad you are doing ok though. You might want to take another look at a harley. They can frequently adjust (change) the seat or handle bars to fit your riding position. Just a thought.
