I like the forums here, just thought i`d introduce myself :D

I`m looking at getting a bike but i`m miffed and :confused:
ok here goes, when i was 17 or there abouts, i had motorcycle
entitlement which i think ran out :rolleyes: "i`m pretty sure my bike at the time was a DT 125E" anyway....
then later on in life i re-applied for entitlement "However" i still had not passed my B-test yet. Sad but true :) well it seems i had to pass some CBT thingy job
ok i took that and rid around till that ran out... :eek:
But i did pass my car test in 1996 "good move huh"
Well i`m a little older now and my son just turned 16.
I`m getting to the point :)
well today i just rang the dvla, and to my surprise i can ride upto 50cc moped
without L-plates and i can also carry a passenger :eek: :)
good news.... now my point is, would it be cheaper to get a 50cc moped
and insure it for myself and have the lad as a named driver?

how much would i save !!

Welcome to BikerForums. I would think it would be cheaper to have you as the driver, rather than your son....but insurance is like black magic to me.
