Hey Straycat hope you enjoy it here. Funny what you and your wife ride, I've been looking at getting a bike and have almost exclusively been looking at ACE's and Vulcans. I'd like to get a hold of a nice one cheap and see what I could do with it.

Again, welcome to BikerForums....

Hi

Hi Straycat. You state that your wife rides a Vulcan. I've been considering purchasing one. I really like what I've read about the bike. My friends tell me that the 750 isn't big enough, that I need to get at least a 1100cc. This will be my first bike and I really don't want to go that big. Any suggestions out there?

My only advice is to first off see what feels good. Go and sit on the bike and get a feel for the controls. Also, buy and ride to your abilities. Lots of people buy bigger bikes than they should and get hurt. It is a good idea not to buy a bike you are going to "outgrow" quick...but don't go crazy. If you feel comfortable with the 1100, check one out and see how it feels.

Hi

I've been to some dealerships and sat on both the 1100 and 750. I really like the feel of the Vulcan 750. I may be wrong, but I believe it will be enough bike for me. From what I've read, it appears to be a good bike, just dated in styling. I like the style though, so that doesn't bother me.
