2002 Indian Chief?

I have own'ed 3 different bikes in the last 4 years, I started with a 99 kawasaki Vulcan, then a 2000 Yamaha Venture, and now own a Honda Valkirye. Out of all the bikes the Kawasaki was a great bike, great sound plenty of HP. The Venture was a very comfortable bike but bad gear box problems. The Honda has tons of HP, but I really miss the V-Twin. I am intersted in buying a 2002 Indian Cheif it looks like a great bike, and 95 horses out of the crate. Harleys only 68 horses. What do you all think?;)

Man, I love the Indians. I posted a while back about a ride I had on one and also posted about the new ones coming out in 2003. If I could get my hands on one of them puppies....ooohhh baby would mongo be happy.

Come to mention it though, you've had some pretty decent motorcycles in your day....how 'bout that valkyrie. Check out the Honda forum...I was asking about that bike a little while ago.

Indians

I love the retro look of the Indians, they are very beautiful bikes. I haven't heard much about the Company's business lately. I know they were struggling for a while last year. I have only seen a couple of them on the road in my area, and haven't been able to talk to anyone that owns one to get their thoughts on the bike....but I love em, and hope the company is sucessful...

FBR

I love the Indians, 'specially now that they have their own engine, and ya, 95hp, that's killer. So go for it. Personally, I'd also go test ride a Victory. That's my other favorite cruiser right now. Good luck shoppin.

I got a dealership about a half mile down from the house. I go from time to time. Was thinking of a test ride, but it's a little chilly for that now, dammit! They seem to be a really solid bike, with a great history. The Victory is a damn nice bike as well. Don't have a dealer around here for them, but they look sharp on TV. :D Man I wish this city was bigger!!!

Victory discontinued the cool "sport" model with the bright yellow paint and white stripe going down the middle which I loved, but now they have a black with traditional flame job limited edition model that I would LOVE to have. Not sure of the Indian model I like, but it's the one with skirted fenders. Just needs to be lowered about 5 inches and it'd be mint. Looks all jacked up in the back, nasty.
