LooseMeat on the forum is a known V-rodder.....he was one of the guys that Phat-Boy and I went to Milwaukee with last year.

Loosemeat and his little bitty gas tank. I'll let him know he's got a fellow rodder in here now. Welcome!!

Well, I gotta say, I've been out riding my new toy around and its so much different from my old 80' Sturgis that its just not fair! :p I can't see how anyone who has ridden one isn't absolutley in love with these things!

Why is it that it seems that most "traditional" Harley guys reject this new bike? Because its power plant was desgined "out of country"? Is it the somewhat radical looks? Just curious...........

Mongo 09-09-2004 05:57 PM

I have no clue why some 'harley guys' reject the v-rod, I think it's cool as shit. I think it does partly have to do with it's looks, a little more sporty than the traditional harley look. Who knows......who cares, just keep riding that thing and loving it. Anybody gives you shit, just flip 'em off and do a wheelie.

Take it easy man, and again....welcome to Bikerforums!

ooking at some Cary Faas parts for Andy's v-rod. Gonna make her bad ass by the time we are done. New exhaust, bars, maybe a Phat tail kit, PM wheels. It's in process right now. Just got off a call With Cary and we are in the works now.

i ck out the cycle trader every so often and notice around here you can get an 05 vrod for around 13k!+ttl. i had an 03 in my garage for a month i was housing it for my girlfriends employer they were raffleing it off and while i had it i put around 300 miles on it. its a great bike awesome throttle response, easy to ride, the only thing i did'nt like @ the time was way i sat on it,it's kind of like riding a moped cause you sit upright.but the 05 rods have forward controls on the new models and w/some pullback bars might have a diff. feel.after i pay off my o3 nitetrain i'm seriously thinking either vrod or a bagger.
