Beemer update

Just an update about the '03 K1200LT I'm riding now. It is just a pleasure all round. I had a boo boo whilst up in North Georgia a couple of weeks ago and had the BMW shop do the repairs on "Silver". Not only did they repair the aflicted areas, but they happened to order a couple of parts that weren't supposed to be replaced and didn't charge me for them. They also replaced some items on the bike that were under warranty and didn't even blink and eye.

Every time....and I do mean every time, that I had dealings with H-D on service matters and warranty things, it was an all out war! Not only fighting with them to do things that I was paying for, but also on items that were supposedly under warranty!

So, YES, I am completely sold on the BMW products and warranty program. I highly recomend BMW Motorcycles and their products!

My friend who rides Beemers and deals with one of the only two BMW motorcycle dealers in CT is always getting REAMED everytime he goes in for service. Same thing happened to me when I had my K100RS and went to that dealer. Maintenance costs alone on a BMW will drive a man to the poor house.

Yep...very cool, that's why there are so many different bikes out there. There's definately a saddle for every butt. ;)

Speakin of saddles...I have to get a new one. I just traded my '03 off for the '05. I did a 300 mile yesterday to Tampa-Clearwater and back, my arse hurts a bit. I only have about 150 miles to go before I complete the 600 mile break-in and off to North Carolina for the Ride the Ridge Rally in Asheville.

Long time

Been a while since I visited ya'll :o

Since then I took a trip to Breckenridge on the new '05 LT and had a ball. The BMWLT.net site has a reunion each year in a new location and this year it was held Breckenridge, Co.

Total milage of the trip was give or take 6K miles.

I left Breckenridge and visited my Mom in Indiana and was fortunate to avoid the hurricanes back home. The condo sustained minor damage (Mostly water damage) and all is well.

My mom turned 90 year old this month and I wanted to share that mile stone with her. I also went north to Michigan to visit my sister for a bit. On the way back to Florida, I had really hoped to take the east coast route back to Florida but was concerned with the damage that the hurricane had left on the road ways, so I opted for a cross country route instead. I visited my friends in Blue Ridge, Ga. for a couple of days and came on home.

All in all the trip was a great one! Looking foward to next year and hopefully I will be able to take another trip like this one. It was long over due and much needed.
