building a new motor
I am starting on my winter project soon. I will be tearing down my Heritage motor & installing 95" SE big bore cylinders, High Torque combustion chamber Screaming Eagle heads & forged 10.5 SE pistons, Bob Woods TW-6H cams & gear drive kit, Mikuni 42mm Flatside carb & some other cool stuff.
I will post some step by step pics if anyone is interested?? -John |
I'm interested, you wanna keep a log of it? If so I can hook you up with some webspace (www.bikerforums.org/yourproject/) and you can keep tabs there? Let me know.
If anybody else is intersted in this, let me know. |
Yes, that would be cool if you would do it....it's always interesting to me, to see what projects others are doing....
FBR  |
sure enuff, count me in,
gotta learn about these motors some time, never had one apart,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, |
I love to look at what other people do, and it's fairly relevant to me right now. I'm in the middle of upgrading the Sporty to a 1250 - Nallins jugs, Nallins stage 2 thunderstorm heads, hotter cams, etc.
Just don't be like me and say 'well, as long as it's apart, let's add the chrome bits I've wanted... and then modify the fenders... hey, as long as I have to paint the fenders now, let's flame the tank... hrrm, should I run the wires internal now or later... do I really want to tackle the fat tire kit this year? Now, what about the gauges since I got the T-bar... -FG, victim of upgrade-itis |
LOL, nothing but motor work going on here(my bike came with enough chrome for my taste & I like the HD white pearl paint just fine)
I will take a bunch of shots with one of my digital cams, label what's going on & post them on my web space as I go along. It will be a few weeks before I get it apart however. -John |
