cbr 600, want to wheelie lol
 

hi,
im new here and i would like to know what is the best way to wheelie my cbr 600 and how?
im sure there are a lot of people out there on these forums who have the same problem as me write now, who just want to wheelie as it is a cool basic trick!

Get the rpm's high and pop that clutch....that'll get a wheelie out of you. It's all about getting that wheel off the ground and keeping it there for a time. Just takes practice and you got to have the 'touch' to get the feel for it.

Until you're completely comfortable with doing frond end "ups" (wind out 1st or 2nd gear until the front end lifts up past 30degrees or so), I wouldn't advise dumping the clutch.

There's a video that sorta teaches you how to wheelie, but I can't remember where it's at now. I'll post it when I can remember!

Its a simple task to do but has its down side aswell. As the chaps have allready said dumping the clutch is a quick way of lifting the front end up but you have to take into account that when its up how do you keep it there!
Giving it too much power when up and the bike will simply flip over and land on top of you. Its takes practice just take it slowly at first theres no rush!
You have to get used to the different view when the front is up like looking where you are going by the side of the bike to judging when to drop the wheel. A simple way of getting used to the front lifting is to find a small hill and make sure no ones around walking, power on coming to the ridge of the hill and the front will lift off the ground. Get used to the small bits before taking it on full scale.
There are lots of ways of lifting the front end and only with a few years under your belt should you dump the clutch. Dumping the clutch will lift the bike probely a little too quick for you. Your cbr 600 can do a wheelie by powering on in second surely! Just keep your foot near the back brake pedal as you will need that to give you a soft landing. If you let off the power and let the front wheel slam off the ground you will eventually need to replace your steering head bearings and your fork seals. And yes wheelies come with a price! Your chain gets the worst of it along with your sprockets. One bit of advice make sure the front wheel is straight when you decide to land the wheel if its not straight but turned you will either get the worst tank slapper of your life or the bike will fall!
