Forced Air Induction Collector

 In case you all haven`t heard, there is a new exhaust system on the block. The FAIC exhaust system(2 into 1)comes ceramic coated in blue, black and cermachrome which looks like billet alum. This pipe blows everyone away! The pipe comes w/reversion reducers built in to the head pipes and has a forced induction Cone built into the muffler which lets cool air flow straight the muffler to help draw the spent gases out of the pipe.On my bike,80in. evo with bassani pipes 79hp. & 86ftlbs. torque. With this system 80hp, and 90ftlbs. torque.I had a dip in my torque curve right after roll-on.Now it goes right up and holds it twice as long and moved peak of torque to 3800 where it was 4400 rpm before. Also where the dip was is now a 10 ftlb. gain.To accomplish this I had to drop to a 25 intermediate and go up 1 to a 74 main on my S&S E w/thunder.+davinci.$700 for this system, you can`t buy a pipe that works better ,PERIOD!These are good #`s for no headwork. The bike pulls like a mule. The hp graph is above the old one as well 3-4 hp the entire length of pull to 5500.Just thought I would share this with you people who might want a lot better performance for the price.Cause you all know hp + torque costs more the farther you go w/your motor.

Sounds like a good pipe for the buck. I think it was last month in Hot Bike they did a section on exhausts - going through style vs. power vs. sound. Pretty interesting stuff.

I know a lot of guys that get new pipes and never tune the bike also, not a good thing to do if you can avoid it. Throwing that old girl on a dyno and fine tuning the entire system is always a good idea when you've made some mods.

Good to hear that you're happy with your customization, which did you get...the blue, black or cermachrome? Be interested to see what your bike looks like with them on. Take care.

I hear you Mongo.8 or 9 out of 10 HD`s out there are running way rich. My buddy`s shop bought a dyno and they are a wonderful thing. The gas analizer doesn`t lie and can tell you exactly where things are good or bad.As for the pipe,I got the cermachrome version and it looks great.I`m not a super puter person so I`ll have my wife help me get it on the page so you can look here over.I`ve made many changes over the years to her ,it`s a 91` and I`m still not done.Good thing we have winters cause thats when I get bored and have to spend money.

Nice looking scoot you got there....AND you're a heritage rider....still my favorite bike around.

I got rid of my 1995 Heritage last Sept and am still regretting it, now just trying to find another.

Those are some decent looking pipes too.....look and power, what a great combo.

Damn, that's a nice looking 91 you got there. Sweet pipes as well. Nice to see the power and style. You are correct about the Dyno, they are a wonderful thing.

Thanks for the compliments Mongo + Phat-boy."Grandpa" as my friends call her,has the old look w/the shit and get of something you wouldn`t expect it to have.I guess you could call it a sleeper.Need to change 1st gear to to get things a little closer, either that or when their lined up start in 2nd.Do you guys do Laconia? This year will be my third annual.About 5.5 hrs. from here in upstate NY,2hrs. N. of Syracuse.I`ll be talking to ya`s.

PHAT-BOY 04-04-2003 07:56 AM

Laconia is a bit of a jaunt from my place here in Iowa, so won't be making it this year. Only one I have planned in Milwaukee in August. Otherwise with the new house being built and the company I work for moving to Houston, I got a little on my plate!!

Great look sled tobyhd...nice pipe as well. Impressive numbers for just addin a pipe. It seems like "they" are startin to get a clue on what actually works...LOL!

I`ve had several lenghthy conversations with the man who designed this pipe to date and he knows exhaust.Velocity and scavenging topics are like mowing the lawn to him. We`ve become friends subsequently and he`s a guy who had an idea that will work for people if they try it or see it work.Chrome won`t get you home ,but maybe the ceramic coating on this baby will. And between lights you just may make a few rice rockets look bad.Bummer...........
