Honda saddle bags

Any one ever installed genuine honda saddle bags on a spirit 750? The saddle bag frame does not seem to fit correctly (flush to fender) and I am wondering if I did not get all the parts. Maybe missing some spacers etc. the local honda dealer I got them from has not been much help.

Did you get detailed instructions, or diagrams with the bags ? Also a Honda parts manual should show a detailed "exploded" view of the bags, and associated parts. Ask the parts counter guy at your dealer to see the manual, and if he has the diagram get him to zerox you a copy of it. If he's not willing to help at this point I would ask to see the Parts Manager, or even the Owner of the dealership, or return the bags and find a Honda dealer that is more....customer friendly :)

remember it's your money....

Thanks, yes I went back to dealership and got a different parts person. He was very helpful and was able to get me instructions from honda. discovered I was missing the spacers. got some, and installed on my bike last night. I now have Honda saddle bags on my Spirit 750.

Happy to hear about that! My dealer couldn't even help me with some of my motorcycle parts. Could you post some pics?
