I Need Advice!!!

hey all...i just got started getting into bikes and i just need to know some of the basic things i have to know when i gotta go buy a bike....

1: New or Used?
2: how many CC's is good for a beginner?
3: what basic techniques do i need to know even b4 i start riding?
4: i'm about 5'3"...so what bike would fit me best. Suzuki? Yamaha? Etc...
5: and since i'm kinda short, would i need a "dog-bone"?...whatever that is...

Anything else you guys can think of would be great...peace

#1 I would seriously consider a motorcycle safety course
my first bike (many years ago )was a honda hawk 400 and I traded up to a 650 in 3 months and up and up... :D
I would shop around and go to a few dealers to see what is comfortable for you.
new or used what can you afford? new will have less problems and longer financing options.
I am sure others will have other advice for you but remember,
always be defensive! those Cars will do excatly what you think they will!
I have the years of road rash to attest to that!
but there is nothing like being in the wind!

250cc is a good place to start. Enough power to keep up with traffic, but still light enough to control. Take the MSF course first, and always wear your full-face helmet, gloves, etc. :)

Buy used to start, you can start off cheap and small CC and work your way up. Definitely take the MSF course no matter what you do.
