new rocket III

I don`t know if anyone has seen the 2004 Triumph Rocket III to be released around April or so ,but the bike is going to be totally awesome. Three cyl. inline,(front to back) 2294 cc. 140 cu.in. 140 hp.,147 lbs.ft. torque,0-60 mph. in 2.8 secs. HOLY F---,got to get one of these.240 rear tire and estimates are 15-17 grand.I`m a harley guy but how can you deny something with these figures for the money and not get excited.Oh,peak torque is at 2,800.Talk about a rice eater,CAN NOT WAIT!!!!!!

Hell Yes !!!

Toby, I have seen pics of the new Triumph, that is one badass looking machine !!! I bet it pulls like a freaking train when you roll on the throttle........I would love to take a spin on one of those babies. The baddest bike I've ridden is a co-workers Hyabusa, it was awesome. I'm a cruiser (Harley rider), but I like to feel the speed every now and then :D

FBR

I saw a picture of it in a Cycle Mag yesterday. Bet it flys. I think I will stop and take a look at the real thing when it arrives. I'm looking for a second ride at this time. My 2000 FLSTF Fatboy (Fat Ride) has 63,000 miles on it and needs some work and I can't afford the down time. Would not mind buying a brit bike again.

Rapido

I saw the bike at the NYC Bike Show. Butt ugly in my opinion. I'm so lovin' that Thruxton 900 though.

Jon,they have some info on them at www.triumphusa.com .The price is still a secret but insiders seem to think it will be high to mid teens.I`m quite sure your grandfathers Indian won`t quite keep up.lol.Pretty impressive #`s. And woohoo, not to be ignorant ,what is a thruxton 900? It sounnds like a tool that Tim Taylor would use!!!Toby

Got a good look at the Triumph 140cu inch monster. Not a bad looking bike and not all that large looking. :D It was on display at Sturgis (funny place for a Triumph). I'm a Harley rider also but at one time rode triumphs back in the 60s with the shifter and brake on the oposit sides and positive ground system by Lucas Electric and they at that time were a good reliable fast bikes.

Rapido.

Got to ride a Rocket at Laconia in June.It has balls at any rpm and gear whenever you roll it on.Bike feels light even though it looks huge underneath you when on board it.I`m not ready to get rid of the Heritage, but for $15,000.00 or so you can hand all your friends with the big after market motors their lunch any time!Or pretty much any bike for that matter.Toby
