possible problem need possible help

O.k, i'm new to this thread but i watch often. I own a 02 vz800 and a couple of weeks ago i got a little throttle hungry coming out of a turn and went down :D . the bike ran for a mater of maybe a minute on it's side before i was able to recover it and pick it up.
The problem:  it seems to be running o.k at idle when it first starts, howver when i ride for more than 15 miles it get's hotter than hell and starts losing power. I took it to a po dunk shop out where i live in texas and they scratched their heads. I'm beginning to think possibly oil pump. there is a nasty little vibration specially at higher speeds and i can hear something coming from between my legs. please help

Welcome aboard aj, I hope the shop didn't charge you for scratching their heads! I'm not familiar with your bike but believe you should get it too a competent mechanic before you ride it any further. Good Luck

Is your bike water-cooled? If so make sure that all of the hoses/pipes are in good order. Make sure they are not bent in a way that would cause restriction. Make sure the coolant is full. Check the exhaust and make sure it is not clogged with dirt or bent causing restriction. Check around the intake/carburetor and make sure there is not a vacuum leak. Let us know what you find. Good luck! Take Care and Ride Safe!

Is your ride cooled with a fan? Is the fan coming on?
