suzuki forums
i'm looking for a big suzuki gsxr 750/1000 forum... if you guys have any let me know!!! thanks-
|
Psychobike.com and gixxer.com are the only 2 all Suzuki forums I know, but I'm sure if you did a google search you'd find more. What are you riding? I've had a few gixxer's myself.
|
gixxer.com if you can stand the opinionated phucks. LOL they really know their shit though.
|
i actually haven't gotten a bike yet. i've ridden a sv650. i want a 750/1000/1300. i love the hayabusa's but they seem alittle heavy and big for me. i was thinking more of a 750. i don't know if i could stand the 1000. i actually just found gixxer.com after i posted this. i really like suzukihayabusa.com, most of the peeps on there are cool shit and know their stuff. i was just hopping to find one like that.
|
well good luck with your purchase decision. i think you'll be really pleased with a gsxr750. it's an amazing bike.
|
750 or the 1000 are nice bikes, depends on how much power you want. Hayabusa is a great bike as well, rides nice and has power to spare. Any will do ya fine.
Good luck, and feel free to stick around here too, me and WooHoo! will talk Suzuki with ya anytime!! |

well, since you guys are actually willing to talk to me unlike most boards.... this is what i want in a bike. i want one that is good for street drags, good for long rides (don't want to die from back pains), not tooooo heavy, and just an all around fun bike. i do have to say that everybody and their mom has a 750/100 and yzf's (which i wouldn't get anyway), so i am thinking that i want to be a little different. i really like the way the busa looks, but i've heard that it's big and bulky. i've also read that they are decent and you can actually throw them around (although not like a 750/1k which is obvious). i'm about 5'11'' and i'm at 185lbs right now... but i'll probably be up to about 200 or more by time i buy the bike (i'm a bodybuilder). so any opinions?

My man WooHoo! has it all right. Busa is for you. I've ridden 600's - 1000's and the Busa, and being a big guy, 5'11", and 250 (not a bodybuilder, a Harley rider). They are fast as hell, but comfy for long rides. Love them zookies man. Enjoy!

any time pal, good to have you here on the boards. you'll find the boyz here are a great bunch. keep those posts coming, and keep us informed on your shopping and hopefully your eventual purchase. later.

i went to the local honda/suzuki dealer and they had a nice 2002 750 left over. it's the yellow and black one. it was pretty nice but the price was rediculous... the people that i've talked to got 2003's for the same price. $8600 otd. what do you guys think of that? i think that i'm going with the busa anyway but i think that i'll have to shop somewhere else. i know that there is a nice place about an hour from here so i think that's where i'll get it.

If it's a leftover, they are most likely going to want close to MSRP for it. There wasn't much change in the 750 from 02 to 03, so they are banking on that. The used market is hot, I would check dragbike.com, psychobike.com, ebay, some of those arena's for a quality used bike first.
|
what do you guys think about getting a bike with mods already done to it? i'm not talking turbos or anything to that extent but rather pipes and whatnot. can you really "beat" on a bike? i know that you can with cars so that was my one worry with a used bike. but obviously for my first one i should get a used one because we all know that it's going to drop one way or another. the first mod for me will be sliders... i'm not taking any chances.

yeah, that's pretty nice. i like all the color schemes for them so it's not going to be hard to please me haha. i've seen a two toned green one from suzukihayabusa.org that's killer. the darker green is almost black. it looks awesome. how would i have those things checked out if i buy the bike online? or is that something that i should have checked when i get it and then replace what has gone bad?

The first new bike I ever bought was my Fatboy, before that they were all used. Sprotbike motors are designed to be revved high, and the rev limiters will save the motor, trust me from my drag racing past, they work! Anyhow, just find yourself one that's been taken care of. You'll know from the outside appearence if the "inside" has been abused. If anything, ask the seller to let you take it to the local dealer and have it looked over. A lot of sportbike owners will try to make mods on their own, and that's where you run into trouble. Make yourself farmiliar with new bikes and how they look stock, so when you look at a used bike, you can eyeball what has been changed.

well, i went to the CU to see if i could get a lone. i went to a different one since i was having trouble with my normal one. they only covered 80% of the cost and the one i went to today covers 100%. there is a 99 busa in the local for sale paper thingy so if i get this loan i'll be giving them a call, if not it's off to the dealers... wish me luck and i'll let you know if i get the loan tommorow.

Best of luck, 99's are the best, before the GVMT put the restrictions on. What color?
|
it didn't say. but i've been going back and forth on the descision of 750 or busa. i still don't freaking know. i think that the 750 might be better for now and then get the busa later on down the road. plus the 750 is cheaper all the way around. who knows. i'll figure it out when i find out whether or not i get the loan.

Well, can't go wrong either way. Had 2 750's, and they are nice. Little too small for this fat man though!! :D Let us know, then post some pics of the new scoot.
|
well, i need a co-signer. so i'm gonna ask a friend of mine and try to figure something out. i won't have a freaking problem paying it off so i don't know what the deal is. i've got execellet credit with my other loan but that's all i have for credit so that's a problem. i might end up having to wait till my car is paid off then goto the bank i currently goto and pay the 20% of cost. ahhhhh.... i want a freaking bike-
