V-rod Oil Filter PN Warning!
 

The Wix (and others) part number for the V-rod oil filter is incorrect! 51348 is not the right part, even though the referrence number off the HD part says its correct!

I had to go to 3 stores today to get the right part. Not a very pleasant experience. Had I known earlier, I would have just bought the Harley filter. If anyne needs the correct part number for an aftermarket filter, let me know and I'll go out to the garage and get it.

I have contacted Wix through e-mail. I'll keep everyone informed as to what happens.

An employee of Wix called me yesterday and we talked for a while.

He's going to call Harley and find out what happened. He also called the place I bought my filter from and got them to give me my $ back.

I love doing business with Wix, they are just nice professionals. And they make the best filters, which doesn't hurt! :D
