I love these things. Is that a sweet rear.... tire or what?
Seriously though, it was my favorite bike at the International Cycle Show. Light. Great ergos. Big power. I'd buy one if I could afford one. |
Sweet rear...........tire for sure!!
|
Looks like the V-rod with a 200 tire and no dog's ass.
|
dude that's a 250! biggest tire on a production bike so far I've heard.
|
well if the front of her looks like the rear of her------ I'll take one, maybe two
can ya turn the picture aorund? |
Its a smart move following the trend of the fat tire chopper.
Wonder how it handles? |
if memory serves me correctly, I believe Cycle World and Motorcyclist both were semi-impressed with the handling. Not as bad as they were expecting, but it does require some man handling. A tire that wide just wants to stand straight up at speed in a corner. Don't care, want it. :-)

ummm yup....
Like the rest of ya I wasn't first drawn to the fat tire... It was what the hell was in black on the back of the yellow beast that grapped me, it was hard to tell where the bike started and she ended... if not for the red hair I would still be trying to figure it out...
Not sure I would like a fatty tire on anything I rode. I'm not a big fan of the hiway... I like the byways better... I love draggin my pipes around corners and listenin to my friends go on about the shower of sparks that caught them by surpise... and while that tire looks like it would take the corners better than most of the fatties I've seen out there... I still don't want to have to fight my bike to make it do what I want to do.... I just want to have a partner that responds to my wishes... If I have to beat or cajole the damn thing I might just as well take up Mistress Marilyn's proffesion... for me the ride is a partnership, not master and beast. OK off my soapbox now.. Chessie |
Fat Tire
Bourget builds a bike with a 330 Avon rear tire! Looks like a steam roller!

Sure makes the tire on the 04 Indian 210 Scout look tiny.
|
That's because the fender is too high.
You can fit a 320 series on a V-rod with a different swingarm and fender, but that much tire is starting to get rediculous. You can get a 200 series on the stock rim, which I may try at some point. But I'm a by-way type of rider too, and back roads are what makes bikes fun! |

"I love draggin my pipes around corners and listenin to my friends go on about the shower of sparks that caught them by surpise... "
luckily you don't have lean a Harley this far over to get sparks. Now THIS is leaned over... dragging the elbow! Double-A-ron rules. |
I admit...
ya got me there... While I raced when younger... I never had the brass knuckles to do it like that! :o
