Poker Run for Preventing Child Abuse
 

Hi all. I am new here. I stopped in because I am planning a Poker Run for April 2007 for Prevent Child Abuse Oklahoma. I have never organized anything of the sort before, so I am trying to do as much research as possible. I wanted to know if maybe any of you all have ever attended/collaborated a Poker Run before, & if so, maybe you could give me tips from who to contact in my community to get approval to the actual run. I am hoping for a big outcome. I am open for ANY comments, suggestions, tips, ideas, critiques, or whatever!

the first thing is to contact the local COC (confederation of clubs) to make sure you are not conflicting with an already planed event.
any patched MC member can tell you when or where that is.
the clubs tend to support other clubs first, but are also the target market you want to reach.
you can reach out to community for donations like vests or gift certificates ect to also raffle off or use as door prizes.
a 50/50 raffle at end party works well to.
depending on your budget a band or d/j at end stop ie end party always
good to keep folks around and some don't or cant make run but wish to
socialize at end with other clubs or riders.
sometimes its best to start small and if it works out use some of profits to have a larger one later.
