Question Sewing on patches

Hi folks, it's been awhile.
I lost the link to this site and finally found it by going back in my emails, and found one from way back in late March.
( good thing I don't delete all of them...wink!)
I sew on patches at a local H-D dealership, and I have been told
I do not charge nearly enough.BUT- I figure with the cost they get for the patches, I should keep my rates low,and folks really DO appreciate it.So much
that they generouslly tip me.
I am wondering if you would kindly give me a rough idea as to general rates
those of you that get patches sewn on pay .
Not that I plan on raising my rates, but just so I know.
I would really appreciate it.
Thanks a bunch.
Cindy

I have a Lady Sews all my patches for the Club..
for the Back patch ( large) $10 and 3 smaller ones on front $5.00 each
or $25 but I think from booths I have seen set up at Rallys its $2-5 for small patch and $7-10 for a large - some will sew on free if you buy their patches.
but I guess it depends on Supply and demand... how much competion do you have?

I think I paid $20 for my HOG patch and rocker. The small kidney patches were sewn on free from the vendors I purchased them from! Also the vendors usually sew on your patches while you wait. I know I usually want my patches sewn on yesterday and would be willing to pay more for a quick (I'll wait for it) job as opposed to picking it up later which most of the seamstresses do around here.

Thumbs up hmmm

i've learned that even if i don't charge much at all, most folks give me a generous tip for sewing while they wait , plus i get some awesome conversations going while i sew...i meet some exceptionally interesting folks.
