Hi all- I grew up in northern Minnesota and started out with a '72 Kawasaki on/off maybe a 350 that was bored out to .40 with a hooker header. Then I got a '81 Yamaha 650 Special and on to a '84 Honda Magna V40. Then I bought a '94 Honda Shadow 1100 that I was forced to sell after only 4500 miles. Now after not riding a bike for about 6 years I have the itch back bad. I am looking at a '79 Harley Sportster 1000 that has a rebuilt engine with 80 miles with a new chain and gear. It is in good shape with 18,000 miles on it. I am offered the bike for $3700. Can anybody tell me if this is a good deal? Thanks much for the input.

$3700 for a '79 sporty.........probably a decent asking price, if its in good condition. I would probably offer 33 0r 3400 see what happens.
