Hello all. First thread, and of course its for a problem. I have a 1991 Honda CBR1000, liquid cooled. I was sitting in traffic after the Blessing of the Bikes and I looked down and the temp gauge was pegged to the HOT side, and cooland dripping from the tube under the seat. I never had to look at the gauge before, the fan always came on. This time, it didn't. If I was moving, it was fine, but idle, no fan. The radiator is full, overflow is empty, the fuse for the fan is good. How can I test the fan operation, or is there something that usually goes wrong that becomes an easy fix, like a bad switch, or a loose wire? Help? Do i need to make a toggle switch for a manual fan op?

 

I am not familiar with this bike but I'm sure that if you take the fan motor in to a shop they will check to see if it is still good. Also, get an owners manual.

If you are not sure, than get fix it by the bike repairing shop.

 

45C is nothing. Processors are usually fine until 60/70. Graphic cards can survive 100.
