Default Big noob lookin for advice - what will I fit on?

Hello guys!

I'm hoping you can offer some advice. I'm a rather large guy: 6'9" & 310lbs. I've had the open road bug for some time and I've always channeled that desire into the car variety of enjoyment. My thinking was that my size basically prohibits me from any kind of motorcycle enjoyment at all.

This feeling gets somewhat confirmed every time I stick my head in a cycle shop; the last example was at Arlen Ness. The sales rep took one look at me and said "Wow we're gonna have to build you something that fits".

I was recently thumbing thru Cycle World (hey hope springs eternal ), and this caught my eye: gizmag.com/go/6823/

IF its big enough, I think the idea is perfect. If it isn't big enough, it still sparked the 3 wheel idea. Safety is a huge concern for me, as is long haul comfort. I want something I can throw a leg over and just relax with cruising down the highway. I'm not into speed bikes or tons of chrome... just want something I can safely enjoy and tour with.

I have to assume I'm not going to fit (based on past experience). If that is the case, is there anything out there you might suggest I look into? What can I find that will get me out there safely and allow me to enjoy what only 2 (or 3) wheels can offer?

Thanks for your time guys. Much appreciated.

Your best bet, would be to visit different dealers to see what you feel comfortable on. You will probably need forward controls put on as well. Good luck in your search
