Default Dyna Rear Shocks

I've found that the rear shocks on my 03 FXDWG are not very good. Whenever I ride 2 up, the shocks will bottom out, and it hits pretty hard sometimes. Does anyone else have the same problem? Does anyone know if there are better shocks available for this? Something's gonna break if I keep riding it like this.

Brewd,I bought a set of EMS (essex motor sports) shocks for my softail this year and they are excellent.I had progressive units on before and the difference is night and day.I know there is a big difference between softail and dyna models but these shocks are of the highest quality. They`re pricey but the ride is adjustable by damping, ride height, etc.I personally say stay away from progressive because their actual shock unit is just a plain shock, like a monroe, etc. that is chromed etc..I don`t know about the other manufacturers. The say works performance are good also.Good Luck and remember you only get what you pay for..

Thanks for your input Toby. I don't mind spending the money for the things I want, or need, but I hate to waste money buying poor quality products that are no better than what I already have. One would think that for as long as HD has been around, someone would have made decent aftermarket parts to pick up where the factory ends. I'll have a look into those EMS folks and see what they have to offer for my bike. If you have a link or something for them, please post it. Thanks again.

I also bottomed out with stock shocks on my Dyna WG. I switched to the progressive 440's and am extremely happy with them. I keep them as stiff as they will go and am no longer bottoming out.
