I have a 1996 Yamaha Virago 535 with a fuel pump that won't stop running. Normally when I turn the ignition on it runs about 2 seconds the stops. When I started it on the first nice day this spring it kept running pumping fuel until it was coming out of the aircleaner housing even when the bioke was running. I've done everything I can think of to stop it but to no avail. Does anyone have any suggestions? The engine seems to run fine except for running rich due to the excess fuel. Thanks.

 

I was glad to see your post, bummed that you received no answers. I have the same year, same model, same problem. Did you ever get anyone to answer?
