Post Honda trivia question...

For many years the "Flagship" of the Honda Motorcycle Co. has been the "Goldwing". All manufacturers of touring motorcycles must try to measure up to the reliability, comfort, and smooth running Goldwing. There have been countless millions of miles logged by Goldwing owners through the years....question is what year did the Goldwing debut???

Default And my guess is

I'm pretty sure it was 1975 or 1976. I'd have to sneak a peek at their website to know for sure. I'll go with 1975 since I was 3 in 75, and that means nothing to anyone. I had an 87 Hurricane. White and Red. I thought that was fast too! Wheelie machines.

Default You got it !!!

PHAT-BOY , it was indeed 1975..... I've said for years if I were to go cross country, and back on a Motorcycle, I would want to do it on a big ol "Wing".....every time I see a couple cruising down the interstate, with their matching helmets, and intercoms....I think to myself..."that's the way to go in comfort"...with a Goldwing !!!

Man, them things practically ride themselves. It would be fun to cross country on one. Perhaps that will be our Bikerforums 25th anniversary ride. Cross country jaunt. Cruise, Cupholders, CB's, Radio's, Cigarette lighters, heated grips, and intercoms. All they need to add is a sink, and you'd be set.

I've always said the last bike I will ever own will be a Goldwing...meaning that when I'm retired in some 20 years or so that will be the bike I purchase to ride on those long trips I'll be taking when I am retired. I love those things, comfortable as hell.
