Default How much do you pay?

Went to the Harley dealer today to buy a case of synthetic 10w/40. They wanted $99 for it!

I ended up goiong to Pep Boys to get conventional for $4 a quart for now.

What brand of oil do you use and how much do you pay?

Local Dealer here, Metro HD. Been going there since I drag raced Suzuki's, and I get 20% off everything I buy. Gotta develop a relationship with the dealers to get the deals man!

I bought synthetic at walmart for about $20-$22 for 1 gal and used 3 quarts once in the engine and will probably use the other quart for my next primary fluid change. I'll continue using 20/50 dinosaur oil and continue changing the filter and oil every 2500-3000 miles. I havent had to buy oil in the past year so I expect it'll be much higher than the last time I bought a case. It seems like I paid around $1.25 qt for dino a couple of years ago.

I can't beet your walmart synthetic as far as price goes there are reasons for the higher cost. but I don't wish to get into that argument right now!

i just use whatever syn oil is cheapest when i need it. i havn't really noticed any difference in the brands. i agree you should get a service manual if you plan on doing your own maintenence.

I use Mobil 1 synthetic oil and change it at 5000 Kilometre intervals. Buy it when it's on sale at Canadian Tire.
