Arrow turn siganal problems

Have a 94 Sportster. When I turn on the turn signal for either side the front and rear light comes on solid and does not blink. However if I turn on the hazards all four will blink. I have been told the hazards and turn signals are controlled by seperate parts but have not been able to fine anyone who can tell me where this parts are located. I leave 75 miles from the nearest service center and would like to fix this on my own. Anyone know what to look for?

Check for the blinker fuse, just like on a car. That sucker burns out and you get no blinky. They are cheap to replace and you can handle it. Get your service manual out and check out where it's located. If you don't have a service manual....get one....75 miles from a stealer is a long haul for simple stuff.

The 94 sportster probably doesn't have fuses and has auto resetting circuit breakers. With the symptoms you describe, it sounds like a bad turn signal model. It controls both the flashers and the turn signals.

Have you checked to see if any of the bulbs are burned out?

Have you installed new turn signals? If so you may need a “load equalizer” in order for the signals to function properly. If everything is stock I would check the turn signal module. Let us know what fixes it. Good luck.
