Steelers vs Packers..... Bret Farve should have retired 2 years ago. They're done without his old self. I can only see the Steelers getting better. They'll have revenge on their minds after this Sunday..... It'll be a loooooooong winter.

You all should try a Pats tailgate party of you want some fun. Nothing like waiting in traffic for hours to get that $45 parking spot to watch the game you spent $400 per ticket on.

Now that's sports New England style.... and don't get me started on the drama for a Red Sox game!

Chessie, Four corners is a must.... some of the best riding in the country. We go every year.

Laughlin River Run is a RUB fest, over priced and to may people in a small place. Plus since the shooting they have cracked down on anyone wearing patches patches not just colors. Wear the American flag and it has to come off.

Do Vegas bike fest or Reno bike week both are great.

Seems all the good spots of yesterday have been ruined. ahhh well. Tell you what, in fact perhaps this is something that could start a new thread... let's get togather and tell each other about all the newer, smaller runs and rallies that we have been to that still allow us to run with the spirit we had back in the '70's.

I'm not into vendors... unless they serve a good breakfast, and maybe a decent dinner, (BBQ will do just fine...) What I look for in a good rally is how
"hometown" and welcoming it feels. Are the cops swarming around us? Making a show by swaggering through the throngs of leather and lace? I don't mind a police presence, that's part and parcel of the life nowdays, but I don't want to be stopped for my pipes when I leave the campground. I don't want my profile and my bike plates in their computors. I don't want to come out of a bar only to find my bike has been taken by some local task force because they didn't understand why the engine and frame numbers didn't make any sense on my '52 panhead to THEM!!!!! It does if you research it.

Yeah let's start on this kind of thread, mmmm my mind is hungry for this kind of info guys.... let's do it!

and thanks Hard Bite for the info... 4 corners is a must, and since I know the promotor personally, I think I'm gonna do it this year... I'm convinced.
See ya there...

Sorry, no connections for a Packer game. As you may or may not know. All Packer home games have been sold out every year to season ticket holders. I have tried to get tickets but everyone that I know never miss a game. Some of my family are so into the Packers that the Christmas tree in green and yellow. I have an aunt that insists that at least one of her kids in going to have a green and yellow wedding.
On the other hand my two brothers are Steeler fans and I really enjoy the way they get teased and tease back with the rest of the family. I guess that's why I like this site so much. It's just like family.

Chess, slightly off subject but in the general context of your comments concerning "Big Brother" comes this quote from Abbie Hoffman...

"...the real appeal of the urine test lies in its control over a workforce that had become dangerously suspicious and potentially powerful. Pulling workers' pants down lets 'em know who's boss. It threatens their jobs and dignity."

HeavyDuty, glad we can help you feel a little closer to home when you visit. I'll find a way to get to the game next year. There has to be a ticket somewhere. If not, I'll just go to Pittsburgh then visit Mongo at the same time.

Abbie Hoffman...

has been my "secret" hero since the early '70's. And other than my American Lit. teachers, It has been rare to find one who can quote him like this.
Now I know I have found a home, thanks Natural...
Love and respect...
Chessie
