Default Ride to Fla week of 4/13-4/20

Hi Guys /gals
Im New to this.
I have My bike about 5 months now. I have already Put 7500 Miles on it.
Planning on a work/vacation down to Florida in April for a Jazzfest.
Is there a trip planner that shows Fuel stops about every 100 miles?
I seem to be getting around 123 miles Before reserve. but would like to get fuel Every 100. But cannot Find where the stops are. 1200+ mile trip each way.

Thanks Neal

Welcome hog659. Small world. I am also located in NJ (north), and work in aviation. If you're going to take 95 down to FL, you won't have much problem finding fuel. I road up 95 to NJ from Georgia when I was in the military, and gas stops on 95 are plenty. If you're going to be on and off the highway, maybe a AAA guide, or their website might help with planning. I fully realize the small fuel capacity problem on the sporty, as I used to own an XLH1200. Only good thing is you get a break every 2 hrs or so. Good luck on your trip.

No luck on the old APU parts . Sweet looking home-built. That's a project that looks like alot of fun (and work). There are a couple of people on the field (Morristown Municipal) who have home-builts. Where do you normally fly out of?

Default 3 wheeler with wings

I used to fly out of Marlboro. My buddy Carlos was the head flight instructor and mechanic there.
But thats Now closed.. I live right up the road from Oldbridge.
But the guy Paul that runs that airport is an A-hole I wont even hang out there. Besides the Dr that screwed up My Injury case keeps his Plane at Oldbridge. Lets just say If I knew which plane was his I would be in Prison for removing some wing Bolts... Serious but Just kidding. Quick call the FAA to report me LOL
Besides Oldbridge is too short I would need 4000+ feet to test Fly anyway.
The Closest airports I would hang out at these days is Allair in Wall township
Or Princeton airport. since its right up the road from My radio stations transmitter sites. I have not Flown in a few years. Got my Medical back 3 years ago But Being out of work from the normal job I cannot afford to Fly.
so My medical ran out in June. since Im not Flying I figure Im Not going to need it for awhile.

A very good buddy of mine (also an acft. mech.) lives in Marlboro, right off Rt. 9 (near the Pathmark). He has a 1200 Sportster, and may upgrade to a Road King by the end of the year. Me, him, and 2 of his friends from that area did the H.O.G. rally in Wildwood last year. Had a great time.
Flying has got to be one of the most expensive hobbies going. Insurance, fuel, maintenance, tie-down space.....yikes!
