4 wheeled vehicles
Major accident on HWY30 West of CR over the weekend. A van crossed the center line on a hill, and 5 bikers had no idea what hit them. Lost 3, 2 in critical condition.
Not trying to bring down the mood of anyone in the forum, I guess more so just trying to keep our awareness up. In a lot of cases I find myself watching them not watching out for me. Probably nothing these 5 men could do to avoid what was coming. Hope all are well out there.

You might be right, Not much anybody could do even if you were watching for someone to cross the center line. I have heard that ridding in groups is a might bit safer. I would like to know the whole story, Like were they ridding side by side, staggered or single file?

Unfortunatelly they don't have the information, or didn't say. When the first one got hit, it was like a domino effect is what they said in the paper. Most that I see riding are staggered, not usually side by side but you never know. I think what really got them was the fact they were coming over a hill. Some were wearing helmets, some were not. When you can't see what's on the other side, it's harder to react. They were veteran riders, all in their early 50's. It's a shame. There were 5 different accidents involving bikes last weekend. Too bad.
