Thumbs up Call for action

This is a call for action to ALL BIKERS no matter your state of residence.
If every biker who reads this message takes up this call for action justice
can be gained quickly.

Please contact Randy Worrel of SC Department of Probation, Parole and Pardon
Services and demand that Brandon Brogan and Daniel Urban the killers of Jay
Jarmen be immediately imprisoned.

This is the official that needs to hear our cries for justice:

SC Dept of PPP Services

Brandon Brogan and Daniel Urban should be held accountable for their actions
which resulted in the death of Jay. Jay was injuried as a result of right
of way violation and then was left to die.

Yours in brotherhood,
FastFred Ruddock
ABATE of SC State Coordinator
-----

FF Note: The following message from Jay's family is not for the meek of
heart; please help Jay and his family find justice. Suggestions and
comments are welcomed: reply to this message or comments@abatesc.com

Justice for Jay

Like a spider invites prey into their web, South Carolina welcomes bikers
with smiles and promises of an exciting adventure BUT BE AWARE because if
you're injured or killed by one of their reckless right of way violators,
the State of South Carolina won't think very much of you anymore.

Your life in South Carolina is worthless if you're on a motorcycle.
FastFred and SC Abate have been trying to tell ya this for years, you gotta
fight for what's right.

We are asking you now to PLEASE JOIN US in the fight for Justice for Jay
Jarman. A letter, a phone call, an email or all three! In order to be taken
seriously by officials in South Carolina please include your full name,
complete address, and your voter registration number (if you don't have a
voter registration number now's a good time to go ahead and do that, we need
you. Ask that you receive a reply to your letter (or email)!

Two heartless residents of West Virginia ran down my son, Jay as he rode on
his Harley down Kings Hwy in Myrtle Beach at the 2003 Harley Rally. They
ran him down and kept going.....HIT & RUN.

Jay died that day and left behind a grieving family and friends that have
been fighting the judicial system from that day and are continuing the fight
to this day.

All details of the horrors regarding South Carolina's prejudice against
bikers are noted on www.JusticeForJay.com under subtitle "The Facts". There
are more violations of morale decency to be posted as currently filed
complaints are answered.

To make a long story short, the killers plead guilty and were sentenced to
only a suspended sentence of ten years and put on probation to be supervised
by West Virginia (their home state) not South Carolina.

Three months is what the SC Probation Dept says it takes paperwork to be
received by WV and in that amount of time we are told that one of the Felons
has moved and the other is living in Gov't housing so West Virginia will not
supervise their probation. WV Probation officer told us that Brogan (the
driver) has moved out of state (what state? none of our business), Urban
(owner of car & drove the car out of state after the crash) is missing. WV
probation thinks maybe he is still in South Carolina. All the while the
elasped time is counting as time served....even though they have never
reported to anyone, no drug testing as mandated, and certainly none of the
other requirements of their probation has taken place. This week we were
informed by SC Probation officer that "low and behold" they have
miraculously talked with both Felons and have requested that they stay in
touch while more paperwork is re-submitted to WV probation authorities.

We were informed that we could call back the end of July to find out if West
Virginia has accepted them. Remember, all the while this time is counting
as time served. Brogan and Urban have already broken their required
probation conditions. Conditions of Probation:
http://www.dppps.sc.gov/what_we_do_supervision.cfm

We demand the law be upheld and Brogan and Urban be brought back to South
Carolina to serve their time. Please don't let lazy bureaucrats in South
Carolina continue to victimize those of us who loved Jay.

More Details of the Horrors of SC Judicial System in denying Justice for Jay
Jarman the victim of a fatal hit-and-run while attending the 2003 SC Harley
Rally are available at www.JusticeForJay.com

Two men, Brogan and Urban, were convicted of this crime. The state of South
Carolina suspended their 10 year sentence and placed them on probation even
though the law stated a minimum of one to 25 years sentence. Maybe voters
should send a message and pink slips to the solicitor and judge.

We now know that the bond hearing, conversations with the solicitor, the
court sentencing, and, the ultimate slap-in-the face, probation, to be
handled by West Virginia, were all predestined by a faulty "legal" system.
We fell for it. We trusted that JUSTICE would be done for Jay. It should be
(and probably is) illegal the violations that have transpired in the
handling of everything judicial since the Jay was riding down Kings Highway
on his Harley when he was sideswiped, thrown over the Mustang driven by
Brogan but owned by Urban who drove them out of state. If we knew how to
SCREAM on paper that would be all that you hear.

This crime was committed in SC. The men convicted of this crime live in
WV. SC is allowing them to serve their probation in WV, but they have to
be "accepted" by WV Probation authorities. After waiting for three months,
we have discovered that they both have been denied probation supervision in
WV.

We have been told that Brogan was denied because he has moved and Urban was
denied because he lives in government housing.

After further inquiry, we learned that neither state, SC or WV, really knew
where they were. That, in and of itself, is a probation violation.
Probation REQUIRES that "I shall not change my residence or employment
without the consent of my agent." Had they followed their probation, SC
would certainly know how to contact them, since it is required that SC grant
their consent for either of them to change residence. The state of WV told
us that Brogan left the state and they didn't' know where Urban was.

The denial of probation means NOTHING. Now this process simply starts
over... all the while, since the date of their conviction, as stated by
SC, "they are serving their probation as mandated". It will now be at least
another 2 months before another round of paperwork determines whether or not
they have been "accepted" to serve their probation in WV. By that time, it
will have been almost SIX MONTHS since their conviction, neither one of them
will have reported to a probation officer or had one of their
required "mandatory random" drug tests... NOT ONCE, and we already know that
both have violation the rules of their probation at least once.

We received a letter this week stating that SC Probation has now talked with
both convicted Felons and all of a sudden they are found so the same
paperwork for WV Probation supervision has been resubmitted. What I see is
that they are just letting more time transpire. It doesn't seem to matter
that they have broken probation or anything else because West Virginia
doesn't care and South Carolina won't bring them back even if they are in
violation. Essentially, the killers are not the least bit inconvenienced,
again, and their time is still being counted as served time.

Another sad note is that in our quest for justice for Jay, we have learned
that this is not an isolated instance and it doesn't happen only in SC.
This behavior is condoned throughout the United States. For the brothers
and sisters that you have already lost and for the justice for others that
may need it, please write the SC Department of Probation, Parole, and Pardon
Services and demand that the law be honored and the sentence ENFORCED.
