All this ...
politicly correct crap has my head boiling... I had a professor last year... who gave me **** in the classroom when I used the word "man" instead of the words "human race" or some other nonsense like that. My reply to her was simple... "the word human contains the word man... the word is not anything more than a word, if you choose to take offence to that word in the context to which I used it, that is your right, but spare me the ****... cuz I'm not buying into your insanity and sensitivity of a simple word that contains many images, and none of them in my mind is offencive... because even the word 'woman' contains 'man.'I am not ashamed of my gender, nor am I ashamed of my origins... the union of a man and a woman... and I am of the human race." I almost got a standing ovation from my classmates.
Needless to say she rarely ever called on me again, and my grade suffered from "non-particapation" in class discussion. (It was a large part of the overall grade.) But I did get my digs in when i wrote papers... I said what I beleived, and I never suger coated my words in order to appease her sensitvities. She had to grade it properly... if not the papers were proof of wrong doing, because beleive me... my papers are all well researched and thought out. Because of the non particapation aspect my grade was a b rather than the A that I deserved.
Well nuff bitchn for now... I still got out of there alive... and so did she.
