Default Looking in the mirror.....

Well, I haven't ranted in a while b/c the Mongo man has had a tough time getting out on the road. Even though the weather has been cooperative, I've been fighting a cold and too much overtime...

This past weekend was grand though. Friday I played hookey from work and took a much needed long, *** numbing trip up to northern PA. Wow, some beautiful country up there, and to top it off got to see an old friend. Put about 600 miles on for the day, and luckily since I was able to get an early start...got to enjoy the day and have a nice break in between.

Saturday....I rested and got the bike ready for Sunday.

Sunday was the 'roar to the shore' starting in Philly, and going down to Wildwood, NJ. It was expected to break the world record for largest charitable motorcycle run....but mother nature played a nasty trick on us...and opened up the clouds with rain. That did put a damper on the attendance slightly (only 17,400), but we still roared to the shore and had a great time doing it. I think somebody said, the line of bikers was about 2 1/2 hours long, which makes for some interesting riding. Great time, great people, no attitudes, and money for a good cause. Check out the website at: http://donhess.tripod.com/ps_motorcyclerun.html

Now this week is shaping up to be quit a pisser. Work will again consume a lot of my time, and tomorrow and wednesday I'll be in Baltimore, so only time will tell how much saddle time I get this week.

Until next time....mongo's rant.....signing off. Later dudes and dudettes.

You're damn straight I'll be at the Faulkner run. The motorcycle raffle proceeds we have going on this site will also go to B.A.C.U.P. Inc. (Biker Allied to Commemorate Uniformed Police). So I'm assuming you'll be there too, can't wait for this year's event.....it's always a good time.
