Just wanted to share with everybody my newest purchase that came in yesterday. Got a book off eBay title "101 Harley Performance Modifications"....pretty decent stuff.
Before I returned home to find my package waiting for me, I was reading the latest Hot Bike which had an article about performance modifications and how to fine tune your bike to your riding style. Pretty good stuff if you ask me. A lot of time people get caught up in HP (me included) but fail to assess what really gives their bike the umph. Sure you can add a kick *** carb and some bitchin' pipes....but if you have a stock evo...you're going to be doing more damage than good.
If you guys have a chance pick up the mag or even better yet get that performance book and check out some of those projects. I know we talk a lot on here about wrenching on our own bikes (cause our ***** are big) and saving money from going to the stealer or shop...but sometimes they can better tell you what performance upgrade your bike can handle and what you also have to modify if you plan on adding performance parts.
Just a though, maybe a rant....either way......it's here.
