Default New pimp sled

Gotta a new project for the time being. This one has 4 wheels. Even though I have enough 4 wheeled transportation around here, I came across this little old lady owned car and saw that it could be something pretty cool. Enter "Christine" the 1985 Caprice Classic, 305 V8, all power (can you believe that it works) workhorse with ONLY 67,500 miles on it. This lady drove it to and from work every day since the day she picked it up from the local dealership. The car was special ordered and her round trip to/from work was 2.5 miles.

So, of course there's a lot of stuff that needs replaced just because the car hasn't been used that much - but overall it's in great condition....but the paint sucks. Supposedly, this year Caprice had some paint defect and the paint is just flaking off. I've been driving it to/from work b/c it's fun as hell to drive and man that thing has some power. I'm also trying to blow the cobwebs outta that **** and figure out what needs to be replaced.

I'll get some pics up after this weekend.

She has tons of crap to sell. Her hubby died and she's trying to clean out her house and garage...and that guy was a pack rat and was into restoring cars. I keep telling her to call me when she gets to his tools.

Most of the late 80's GM's have paint issues. Sounds almost like a police package car the way its optioned out. Should be a nice ride for a while.

It's definitely not the police package....might be the mob package though. Enough room in the trunk for the donut, a full size spare, my tools and 3 bodies.

Just trust me (haven't you heard THAT before?)

Anyway, I attached a few pics of her when I picked her up. I worked on it this weekend and will do the same next, so I'll keep you all updated.

With some low profile tires. Don't know if they'd fit though after I bag it. Guess we'll see.
