Default Northeast Heat wave.

Well, not really bitchin' just wish it would cool down a little bit. Here in Philly, monday was 92, tuesday was 95, and today is supposed to hang around 99. Uh, I thought I moved back east from Texas? Anyway, not many bikes out and around....guess too many people are afraid of passing out on their bikes.

Hope all is well in bikerforum land, and the weather for most of you isn't affecting your riding.

Bummer dude, I live out here where it is over 95 every day but the humidity is very low and I ride with a water bottle in a pocket behind the wind shield. But when the humidity is over 80 percent the ridding fun starts dropping to all time lows. California has only one thing going for it these days and that is the weather. Hope your weather clears up tomorrow.

Here in Iowa, the average temp has been about 93 since last Wednesday, heat index around 102 or so. No rain at all finally, but the heat is something wicked. We don't have a helmet law in Iowa, so that helps a lot. I put about 300 miles on over the weekend. There are a ton of bikes out every day. Doesn't seem to be stopping anyone here in Iowa. Going out again this afternoon to put on a few more, then check out the fireworks tonight down on the river. Man it is hot though!

SW Ohio is hot too. Today, mid to upper 90's with the heat index just over 100 with high humidity. There are still a lot of bikes out, though. I ride to work every day and pray that it rains on the way home so I can cool off.

Just think, a couple of months ago we were complaining about the cold, now listen to us.

Thumbs up Cold Front????

Let's see if they can get this one right. After 2 weeks of 95 or better heat index, they are talking cold front moving in tonight. Could make for a nice weekend, and my bike is going in for the 1000 mile checkup. (Translation $200 oil change!)

My cousin works for the National Weather Service. One day I asked him the difference between partly clowdy, and partly sunny? He says "depends on my mood". Science at it's greatest!
