Two years after the September 11 terrorist attacks on the United States, people are gathering across the nation and around the world for ceremonies honoring the 3,016 people killed when four hijacked airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon and a Pennsylvania field.

It's hard to put into words how I feel, still to this day. Everyone has heard the stories of the ordinary people with extraordinary courage. I was personally affected by this cowardly mark in history, and on this second anniversary I can still feel the effects.

Everybody be safe today...and take time to remember what happened.
