Well, the fun has started. In the midst of working on my bike (seems like non stop this summer) I have begun looking for that all new ride.

1st stop, Harley Stealership - Of course checked out the Wide Glides, they were seriously pushing new V-rods, and I even saddled up on a Electra Glide. Still like the wide glide, but I have issues with that (see the harley forums for my questions about glides)

2nd stop, Honda dealership - Lemme tell ya, Honda making some bike for the buck there. The VTX Retro 1800 blew me away, some sleek styling...definitely a nice bike. Then I got to sit up a 2002 Valkyrie...wow what a machine.

Well, in the coming weeks I'll be sitting on and hopefully test riding some more bikes....so I'll keep you all posted on what comes out of this.

Peace and chicken grease.

Default Steelers Fan?

Stealership? I know that's not a typo! I don't know about that V-Rod. I think sales of that have dropped. It's more of a specialty bike than anything. I think they should have made a nice wide tire performance bike. Take a softail, but a 250 on the back, and put one of those motors in it. Appeal to a more vast croud I would think. I like the wide glide. Nice bikes! Another one I like is the Road King. I've heard those Valkyrie's are nice. I don't know if I could go outside the HD box now that I am there. Personal preferance I know, but there is no other ride for me.

I hope your search finds you the bike of your dreams, and she's with you for many years to come.

Peace and Chicken Grease? Man, I learn something from you fellas every day!
