Alright, so the US is at the heightened state of security. Now the gubment is telling us there are 'the most specific threats on the US we have seen since 9/11'

In my opinion, **** is going to hit the fan one way or another around here. We have Saddam pushing our buttons, the Al Qaeda rearing up again, and that hell called Korea is just plain pissing us off.

We can't bully everyone, but at the same time...nobody is doing squat to keep the world at peace.

F Saddam...we shouldn't stop until we get him this time.
F Al Qaeda...let's keep capturing and killing them until we hear of them no longer.
F Korea....my grandfather already went through hell there, and I'll be damned if he didn't do it for a reason.

Maybe I'm in a bad mood, but maybe I'm just sick of hearing about the US taking care of business and having to do it diplomatically.

 

So, I gotta ask, cause I don't know how concerned a person in Iowa should be. Some of you guys are military, and some are or were PD. Never having to worry about things like this before, or living in our little world called America, we always feel so safe. Someone violated that on September 11th, and now I guess I don't know how to react to the "Orange" level we are under. Thoughts? I have all the faith in the world in the brave men and women in the military, but how worried should I be. Cause really, I'm not too worried.

Well brother I have to say I am in agreement with you. These basturds are too chicken **** to face us f2f, so they do the terrorist thing. Well...to hell with 'em.

My problem starts with the way our "security" is being handled.

I was at the Orlando airport yesterday,to drop off a friend, and was fully expecting to have the truck scanned and searched...nothing! I was appalled! Anyone could just drive up and blown the place sky high without ever being so much as looked at!

I would like to see the U.S.A. start to doing something that resembles some sort of security here. I have little or no faith that the government is making any attempt to make sure we are safe from anything. They are so focused on "Gettin them" that they have left us vulnerable on the interior of the country. It is common knowledge that that Al Qaeda is laying in wait here in the U.S.A. How in the heck can ya feel "Safe?"

I am attending the Daytona 500 this year and I am not going to let any damn terrorist threaten me and disrupt my life cause he is too chicken **** to face us in a battle f2f.

The way I look at it...When my number is up...the button gets pushed and there is nothing...absolutely not a damn thing I or anyone else can do to stop that! I am gonna live my life the way I live my life. If they blow the track up...then I will
One...die in the explosion or
Two..live thru it and find the little basturd and take him out!

I too am a littl fed-up with all this Diplomacy crap. Eith er go after them for what they did and are "threatening" to do...or we back off and start taking a "Hands off" policy. I say we blow the **** out of 'em and let GOD sort 'em out!

This whole deal about covering your windows with plastic wrap and duct tape is horseshit. I am really sick of all of this. Should we live in fear because some spineless jackasses want to harm us for NO good reason other than they hate how prosperous we are and their religion teaching them to hate capitalism.

The link has been made from Saddam to the Al-Qaeda network. We've known for a long time that something fishy had to be going on there. All these sympathizers are killing the force we need to bring.

I think that's what's really pissing me off. Yeah the idea that people hate the USA for no good reason really gets to me, but it's the jackasses that want to prevent war...and keep the peace....yeah, the US citizens that are pleading for diplomacy in these matters.

Excuse me you stupid **** sympathizers, lets try to understand how terrorism works. Terrorists are in this for the long run, they don't care how long it takes...they want to get us. Terrorists will build up, devise plans and eventually strike. The time to squelch those terrorists threats is now. We are preventing a build, and we're killing the baby roaches and working our way up. We need war now to eradicate the threat down the road.

So in recap: The actors and actresses and hollywood types running their mouths about preventing war....shut the hell up! Have you even picked up and fought beside a brother for your country? Do you even understand that we are trying to preserve our beautiful country and our freedoms...and are you too blind to see what is going on in the world. We are going to war, no matter what any sympathizer thinks....in fact ship them over there to stage a peaceful sit in right in the middle of bagdad...see what happens to them. The US isn't sending all this equipment and troops to stand there and keep a watchful eye, we're moving to war. Code orange---yeah stay alert but for christ sakes don't hind and live in fear...if anything think about how better you can be prepared if something were to happen. Protect your loved ones, fend for yourself. Personally, I'm prepared...maybe it's how I was raised or the things I've seen in my jobs but I don't take any chances. I will not live in fear of these people, but if something goes down I'm not going to be running in the opposite direction of the action.

Honestly, the USA is a superpower for a lot of reasons....one of them being our strategic position in the world. Oceans on each side, beautiful loving neighbors to the north, and neighbors to the south that want to work with us.

The midwest is a great place to live for the protection factor, but keep in mind that the government thinks the same way (STRATCOM is in Nebraska). Also a big factor in the midwest is the low density of people. In comparison to NYC and some other big eastern seaboard cities, the midwest just doesn't see as much of this. Immigrants...illegal and otherwise usually flock to cities for the jobs. Also of note is that any 'unusual' person would stick out like a sore thumb in Cedar Rapids.

 

I didn't need to hear the Koreans have a missle capable of reaching the west coast. The crazy bastard currently residing in the white house does not like California and I wouldn't put it past him to provoke the Koreans into attacking the west.

 

THAT'S THE PROBLEM WITH THE UNITED STATES TODAY. THERE ARE WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE THAT JUST AS SOON NOT KNOW THAT NORTH KOREA HAS THAT CAPABILITY. THERE IS ONLY SO MUCH SAND THAT THEY CAN HIDE THEIR HEADS IN.

 

Ok, so what's up with the White House Homeland Security peeps? I don't know that they should have said they made a mistake. Now no one will pay attention to them, cause everyone will think it's misinformation. Like the little white house that cried wolf. Thoughts?
