Default What's in a User Name?

Alright, here we go....at this point almost 100 hundred members and I'm seeing some interesting user names with just as many interesting people.

So, why'd you pick your user name?

Lemme explain Mongo:

Well if any of you have ever seen the movie 'Blazing Saddles' you should immediately know who I'm talking about. He was a big burly, 'break everything' character that rode into town on a bull and damn near wrecked everything.

I guess I sorta do look like him, and stand about 6'3" with about 250 lbs on me....but what clinched it I guess is that I have a tendency to cause a little unintended destruction some times.

I got the nickname when I started playing rugby in college after a series of events. It's stuck with me since.

So, how'd you pick your user name?

Just in case a member of our forums doesn't know what a FatBoy is (besides a boy that is fat!). It's a Harley-Davidson model also known as a FLSTF , and that's what I ride so I'm a "FatBoyRider"....it was an easy name to pick.

Default The name says it all

I picked up a new FXDWG after an exodus from riding (I went to boating) and on my first ride, the next day, in January, in Michigan I looked over at my riding buddy with my "perma-grin" and grinned even bigger at his perma grin and he yelled out, "IN THE WIND, BABEE!!!!". It just seemed right 'cuz it is about being in the wind, and 'cuz the answer is blowing in the wind. ITW

My user name is the same as my road name and the same as the plates on my Jeep and a little different spelling on my Fat Boy. Out at ABATE's Menoken Grove Rally one year and woke up a lot dizzy don't know if it was the partying all night, sure it was. Took a while to shake that night off. Some friends came up from Gillette, Wy. The name kind of stuck after all these years.

Way before the mid-life buldge(ok, a little later- life buldge) set in I use to weigh 165 at 6'4" and everybody called me "Skinny Wayne". As time and booze(which I don't do anymore) went along, it got shortened to just "Skin". That was 32 years ago, been called that ever since.

The "handle" that I have was given to me by a reporter in Jacksonville, N.C., home of Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base. Long story short.... I was scheduled to do a photo shoot and interview about the "New" military motorcycle program that I was involved in, as an instructor. I show up at the LZ riding my 92 FLSTF and the Hummer is behind me with the Kawi. Reporter says that since I am a Marine, and our nickname is Devil Dogs (WW I era term from the Germans), and I ride up on a Hog, He calls me Devil Hog. Even put it in as the caption of the Main photo (Controlled Ravine Crossing / Jump). I have chosen to carry it since then, but out on the road and in the club, I am plain old "Ice Man", cuz of the name an all...

I belong to several forums (motorcycle), and I use the same handle on all of them..keeping it simple, easier for me to remember..I ride a Intruder 1500LC, and the last part are my initials.. hence LC1500MB...

Well, about my nic. It started when some one called me a duck cause he said my butt was low to the ground. But then we bought an 88 GMC lowered pickup that already had the name lowaltitude on it so I figured it suited me better than the truck lol.
BTW I'm only 5'1"

Talking With a loud --> "a"

Wyoming only allows four letters in vanity plates so since the last name is James the plate on my wide glide is "Jams".

"Woohoo!" is what Homer Simpson says when he's excited about something. Hence, it's what me and my buds say when we have plans to go riding. It is also about to be my license plate on my Sixxer.

I did not want to use the nic that was given in Viet Nam as that has time is past and not well accepted anymore. My nic from work is Spatcher or Dispatcher minus the Di and I did not want to use it here but now I am thinking of changing back to Spatcher. The nic I use here is RapidoRaptor, I'm Itialian and Rapido is Fast in Itialian, Raptor is a bird that eats meat. Well I eat meat but I'm not fast anymore as gray hair is heavy and slows you down. And I still dream about being fast. I know it is a stretch but there it is.

It all makes sense now---- --- I thought I was just getting old and slow, but it's been the gray hair thing all a long.
