Well, I got 1mb DSL here at work, so it never takes too long for me. I got 56k dial-up at home, and that actually seems to work pretty well for me. As long as there are no photos involved of course. You having trouble with the main page, a specific thread, private messaging? All of the above? How long is it taking?

Unhappy Just about everything

Did the following steps to eliminate the problem on my end:

sfc-system file check
defrag
scan disc
pinged isp
deleted ethernet drivers and re-installed them
deleted and reinstall winsock files
un-install/repaired Internet Explorer (default browser)
tried netscape---uninstalled it
re-booted about six times today

Just now when I hit reply it took about two minutes until this reply form loaded.

EEEEEEK! That's not so good man. What speed is your PC? I think more of it has to do with the ISP than some of the other things you tried. Might want to call your ISP and see what they recommend. Is this the only website you have problems with, or does it seem to be all?

Thumbs down Been on the phone all day with the ISP

56k

Normally a pretty fast system

The only thing that I am not convinced about that the problem is not with my ISP is the speed tests that I have tried today has been way off.

But, like I said other sites I hit today may be slower than normal but this place feels like I am pushing a dresser up hill with both tires flat.

hmm. Wish I could help ya. Nothing has changed on the site, and even though we're getting more hits daily that won't effect teh responsiveness of the site. If you keep having problems let me know and I'll do some testing.

Really for all the gadgets we have available on BikerForums...it's all designed to be fast. Every page is generated on the fly and we have no static pages since our data comes from our database. Pretty neat stuff and really quick....like I said though...if you're still having problems later let me know. Take care.

Thumbs up Working fine now

Back from work and the forum seems to be working fine now.

Must have been a problem with my ISP. Like they would admit that their system was bunged up.
