Question Cheers From Snowy, Cold Mi.

Hi y'all. Perhaps someone can help me with this. I have a dead battery. Even though I started my bike almost every other day this winter, I went out of town for a week in Feb., when it was obscenely cold, came home, attempted to start my bike and heard nothing but clicking sounds. Arrrgh! Questions: First of all, because I've let it sit for another 3 weeks without starting, will it cause any damage? Also, the gas tank was full but will the gas be effected by the cold weather? ('Cause It was cold...I mean, below zero for a few days.) Appreciate any answers. Thanx.

Welcome. I live in equally cold Ontario. I always put gas stabilizer in my tank when bike will sit for awhile and have had no gas related problems. I also started using a battery tender this winter. In the past before battery tender I really had no battery issues except when I forgot to turn off lights then a jump start got me going again. My battery is four years old. Hope this helps.
