Default New Mc Pop

Hi guys ( and ladies). I'm a newbie with an 18 year old that recently bought a light duty bike. It's old, but in good shape. Hopefully I'll have an old junkyard cruiser by summer. I'll be asking for advice every now and then, but to keep it even, I have 3 areas of expertise I can share with whoever asks. My son and I are both 4th degree Taekwondo black belts and teach regularly. My previouys life was as a chef, and I still cook often. My present career, for the last 20 years, has been as a parts guru for a Mercedes dealer.

Wow! talk about well rounded. The black belt is awesome, it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to get there. Congradulations. Being the son of a Chef, I know all to well how stressfull that job can get.

Welcome to the forum, I hope you get a bike on the road soon.

Thanks for the complements. I don't consider myself a type "A" personality. If I've got nothing to do, I don't wander around cleaning light bulbs and the like, but every day in the car biz still feels like a part time job after the kithchen grind.

it's great to have so many interests. I like cooking. I watch a couple of chef TV shows. I hardly ever have time to get into the kitchen for too long. Busy Busy. Welcome to the forum. You'll get all the info you could want here - from nice people.

Thanks, Christina. It's nice to know that there are nice people on some of the forums in the ether out there. I used to peruse a forum website about wooden boat building and it got to the point where it seemed that it was a handful of pompous grouchy old men. It kind of took the edge of excitement away from my trying to build a homemade boat.
